ASAM Changes and Harm Reduction Engagement Training

A 2-hour training detailing some of the ASAM 4th Edition changes, ways to prepare for assessment changes, how treatment planning will be different, and deadlines for implementation. Harm reduction methods will also be discussed at length and the ways in which the field of SUD treatment has changed over the years from abstinence based models to harm reduction.  A focus in this section will be to stress the importance of motivating individuals active in their use toward resources and treatment options to help reduce risks.                   Date: June 5, 2025             Time: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM   CEUs: 2

Integrated Treatment and Provider Resilience Training

A 2-hour training about integrated treatment being an essential aspect in the new ASAM 4th Edition (co-occurring capable vs co-occurring enhanced), how differential diagnosis can help treatment planning, and an overview of specialty court options.  Additionally, self-care concepts for professionals with an emphasis on resiliency will be discussed to help participants understand ways to spot their own burnout and ways to address it effectively.  Connections will be made between provider stress management, quality of care provided when under stress, and the impact of being resilient and staying in the helping profession.             Date: July 16, 2025           Time: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM   CEUs: 2
